STUFF

STUFF logo highlighting race day tech and future features.

STUFF (Social, Technology, Updates and Future Features) is the team behind the technology, media, and digital experience that powers race day at MCQMRC.

We manage the systems that keep everything visible, connected, and running. This includes livestream production, scoreboard and timing display integration, and troubleshooting/configuration of the MYLAPS race system. We support and maintain the track’s network infrastructure, website, and security video systems to ensure reliable operation across all platforms.

On the media side, we handle social promotion, create graphics and video content, and develop logos and promotional materials that represent the club, its drivers, and its events. From race coverage to branding, we make sure everything looks sharp and reaches the right audience.

We don’t just maintain what exists, we build what’s next. STUFF continuously develops and implements new features and improvements to enhance the race day experience for drivers, families, and fans.

Race Director

The Race Director is the conductor of the race, the headset hero keeping the entire show rolling. This role manages race day operations in coordination with the Tower, Flagger, Pit Steward/RaceCeiver, Rookie Director, and Tech team, making sure everything stays on schedule and runs smoothly. They work closely with the flagger and tower to control starts, restarts, cautions, and checkered finishes, while making quick decisions when spins, contact, or unexpected situations occur. Above all, the Race Director is responsible for keeping drivers safe and racing clean. They have the authority to call or request yellow and red flags, delay or stop races if conditions become unsafe, address on-track behavior issues, and serve as the final decision-maker for all race control calls.

Track Crew

PennDOT has nothing on this crew. They are the ones who keep the track in race ready shape from start to finish. They oversee track maintenance in preparation for and during all MCQMRC events, working constantly to keep conditions consistent. Without them the surface quickly turns rough and unsafe, cars start sliding, bouncing, and breaking, and the racing slows down while frustrations build. With them on the job the track stays smooth and consistent, drivers stay safe, racing stays competitive, equipment holds up better, and everyone gets to enjoy a much better night at the races. They pack and smooth the surface using rollers and tractors, fix ruts, holes, and rough spots between races, and water and maintain the surface to control dust and keep the right level of grip.

Snack Shack

Turning hangry into happy starts right here with the snack shack crew, where you can be part of a fun filled year feeding our favorite drivers and their fans. From opening up and getting everything fired up to closing it all down at the end of the night, this team keeps the food flowing and the crowd smiling. You will be flipping, frying, and sizzling fan favorite snacks on the grill, fryers, and stovetop, serving up tasty treats to hungry race fans, and running the register to keep the line moving fast and smooth. Along the way you will restock supplies so no one leaves hungry and keep track of what is running low so the next supply run is ready to go.

Tower Crew

The Score Squad. The Tower is the eye in the sky and the nerve center that keeps race day running smoothly. From scoring every lap to helping keep races organized and on time, this crew makes sure the show goes on without a hitch. Behind the scenes they collaborate with the Secretary during registration and sign in, manage lineups and results through My Race Pass, and keep all official race paperwork organized. They handle race timers and time limits, track laps, positions, and final finishes for every race, and stay in constant radio contact with the flagger, race director, and drivers through Raceivers. Every announcement comes straight from the tower through the PA system, keeping fans informed and the energy high all night long.

Flaggers

The sign language of the race track comes to life through the flagger, who communicates everything drivers need to know in an instant without saying a word. They start races with the green flag, slow things down with the yellow, stop racing immediately with the red, signal the final laps with the white, and bring it all home with the checkered. This role is critical to keeping everyone at the track safe and ensuring races stay fair while preventing chaos on the track. The flagger works closely with the Race Director and Tower, coordinating every move so the entire race flows smoothly from start to finish.

Tech

What we do on the Tech Crew goes far beyond just checking cars. This team oversees the scale house, weighing cars and drivers to make sure they meet class rules, and inspects cars after races for quality, consistency, and adherence to NASCAR Youth requirements. They communicate any issues or discrepancies to the Tower, including disqualifications, and make sure club members stay informed about any rule changes. Their work ensures everyone competes on a level playing field, keeps the kids safe, and builds trust with families. They are not just checking cars, they are protecting the integrity of the sport.

Pit stew

This role is all about keeping things safe, fair, and running smoothly, acting as both a safety officer and a traffic controller on race day. From the hot chute to the pit area, they perform safety checks before races, keep a constant eye out for hazards, and make sure drivers, crews, and equipment are following the rules. They also handle distributing and collecting transponders so every car is properly tracked. In the hot chute and pit lane they direct the flow of cars and people, keeping everything moving safely and efficiently. On top of that, they serve as a key communication link between race control and the teams, passing along instructions, updates, and important information to keep everyone on the same page.

Safety

Safety comes first in this role, with a focus on making sure every car and driver is ready to race safely. The team conducts preseason quarter midget safety inspections based on NASCAR Youth and USAC regulations, ensuring all cars meet the required standards before they ever hit the track. Throughout the racing season they continue with spot checks to keep everything in compliance, paying close attention to critical items like seatbelts and helmets. Their work ensures that every driver is in a safe car every time they race.

Rookie Director

Helping to turn nervous beginners into fast and fearless drivers, this role is all about guiding new racers through their very first experience on track. The Rookie Director works with drivers during rookie school to teach the basics of racing and track etiquette, making sure every new driver feels comfortable, confident, and safe. They answer questions for both kids and parents, direct junior novice and rookie class races, and monitor progress while helping promote drivers as they improve.

This role sets the tone for the entire racing journey. For many kids it is their first time in a race car, and the support they receive here makes all the difference. Because of the Rookie Director, kids feel encouraged instead of overwhelmed, parents understand the process, rookies learn good habits early, and confidence grows with every lap.

tower runners

The Tower Runner is the utility player that keeps everything connected and moving behind the scenes. They help manage sign ins and wristbands as drivers and families arrive, making sure everyone is checked in and ready to go. Throughout the night they jump in wherever needed, filling tower positions, assisting with paperwork, and supporting the scoring team to keep races running on time. They also help move information between areas, making sure nothing gets missed and everyone stays in sync. This role is all about flexibility, awareness, and stepping up wherever help is needed to keep race day running smoothly.

trophies

The trophy crew is the team behind the moments every driver remembers long after race day ends. They handle everything from ordering and creating trophies to organizing and distributing them to drivers at the end of the night. Their work ensures that every class and every event is recognized the right way, whether it is a weekly race or a special occasion. They keep everything organized, accurate, and ready so awards go out smoothly and on time. Because of them, drivers leave with something tangible that represents their effort, their improvement, and their accomplishments on the track.
